Covid Communication 5
Covid communication 5
21st October 2020
Dear Parents and Carers,
First of all, I would like to say a huge thank you for supporting us in making our return to school enjoyable and successful for both the children and staff. Frome Vale Citizens have continued to impress us with their focus and enthusiasm. It has been a great term 1!
I am writing again to ask you to help us in ensuring a smooth transition back on 2nd November.
It will still be important during the holiday to respond to any possible Covid 19 symptoms:
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature). A normal temperature is 36.5 -37 degrees centigrade.
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
If this should occur, please ensure that everyone in the same household self isolates for a period of 14 days or until a negative result has been returned. Self- isolation for anyone experiencing symptoms is 10 days.
If the result comes back positive, please inform the school as this may affect the return of the class your child is in. Please do this via email putting the subject as ‘POSITIVE COVID CASE.’ We will then contact you and discuss the next steps.
I sincerely hope that you have a restful break and look forward to welcoming you back in term 2.
Best wishes
Dr. Saunders
