Dear Parents/Carers,

Year 5 – Swimming

We believe swimming is a vital skill for children, so we have arranged for all children in Year 5 to have swimming lessons at Kinsgwood Leisure Centre for the next 2 terms. This will be broken down into small groups depending on their swimming ability.

The school will pay for the cost of the swimming lessons and the coach.

The intention is for Year 5 children to attend swimming sessions each Friday from 4 March 2022 up to and including Friday 27 May 2022 following all government guidance. The coach will collect the children from school at 1pm and they will be returned to school at 3.05pm

We would be grateful if you could sign the online consent form found HERE before Friday 18 February 2022.

IMPORTANT Your child will not be permitted to swim if consent has not been given

Please make sure that your child comes to school every Friday with a full body swimming costume (not a bikini/tankini) or trunks and a bath towel. The children may also bring goggles and a swimming hat if required. Please also ensure that if your child has shoulder length hair, it is tied up with a hairband. Children should not bring floatation devices as these are provided by the swimming pool.

Children are not required to bring money and no food or drink can be purchased at the pool. In addition, food and drinks are not permitted on the coach.
